EBI Academic Conference
“Regulating and Supervising Capital Markets in the EU: Trends and Challenges”

The EBI Academic Board had the pleasure of hosting the first EBI Academic Conference on 9 November. The conference discussed some of the most significant trends of Capital Markets in the EU and their implications in terms of regulation, supervision and enforcement, focusing on the major issues regarding the revised Capital Markets Union project.

We were honoured to host Ms. Verena Ross, Chairperson of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), who addressed the Conference with a keynote speech.

4th Annual EBI Policy Conference:
“Profitability and Sustainability of European Banking”

It was also a pleasure to host our 4th Annual EBI Policy Conference on 17 November. The conference was made up of a keynote speech by Dr. Elke König (Single Resolution Board), as she looked back at her time at the SRB, the first panel on “Profitability and Competitiveness of the European Banking Sector” and the second panel on “Digital Solutions for Sustainable Banking”.

This event was hosted by Dr. Thomas Gstädtner, President of the EBI Supervisory Board and Nejc Smole, Member of the EBI Executive Board.
