BI Norwegian Business School is an independent, not-for-profit foundation and the main provider of research-based knowledge on business and management disciplines in Norway. Since the establishment in 1943, BI has grown to become one of Europe’s largest business schools with around 20,000 students and 900 employees.  BI is the largest supplier of economic and administrative competences and skills in Norway with more than 200 000 graduates since 1983. BI Norwegian Business School is the home of the world-known faculty in the school’s spearhead areas of finance, economics, management, strategy and marketing.

BI has undergone tremendous change over the last few decades. Started as an evening school for practitioners, it has become one of Europe’s most advanced research institutions that attract world-class researchers, students and conferences, while educating professional to lead society forward.

Today, BI is one of 70 business schools worldwide with the three most prestigious international accreditations called the “Triple crown”, from Equis (EFMD Quality Improvement System), AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and AMBA (The Association of MBAs).

In addition to the head office in Oslo, BI has regional campuses in Bergen, Trondheim and Stavanger. BI also cooperates with and is present on campus at Fudan University in Shanghai, China.
