About:

The Institute for Monetary and Financial Stability (IMFS) is a research center of Goethe University Frankfurt supported by the Stiftung Geld und Währung (Foundation of Monetary and Financial Stability). The IMFS aims at raising public awareness of the importance of monetary and financial stability. An integrated approach is taken to economic and legal aspects. Its fields of research encompass monetary economics, financial market economics and financial stability as well as money, currency and central bank law. The IMFS also advises government entities. This research transfer into the world of financial institutions, central banks, and political decision-makers is an essential task of the IMFS. Furthermore, it contributes to doctoral and post-doctoral training at Goethe University.
