About:
UC3M was established by an Act of the Spanish Parliament on 5 May 1989. From the outset it was an innovative, public university, with the mission to contribute to the improvement of society through teaching of the highest quality and cutting-edge research in line with stringent international guidelines. The University aspires to excellence in all its activities, with the aim of becoming one of the top universities in Europe.
UC3M has around 23.000 students, 20% of students at UC3M are international. UC3M offers 38 bachelor’s programmes in the areas of Social Sciences and Law, Humanities and Engineering. Masters and doctorate programmes are also offered in Law, Economics, Political Sciences, Business, Humanities, Communication, Information and Social Sciences and Engineering.
UC3M has 2.081 faculty and researchers, 11% of faculty is international. UC3M fosters the continuous professional training and development of its faculty and foments innovation in teaching. The university actively encourages the personal development of all those connected to the higher education community.
